| Football South West Queensland is very appreciative of the grant received from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund. The acquisition of the training equipment for Referees has allowed them to videotape games and play back for coaching and development of referees. The computer is used for the Referees database and collection of material for delivery of Referees courses and for the delivery of development for all Referees throughout our Zone. Referee Coaches constantly deliver courses all year round and monitor our referees very closely to help them develop. The purchase of Office equipment has enabled the Zone Administrator to become more efficient with communication with all centres throughout our Zone. To be able to send/receive and read emails effectively and immediately and to store all relevant documents on a computer just for the Zone has been very useful working from a home office. The video conferencing equipment and remote coaching aids is in the process of being set up. This will enable us to video training sessions and coaching courses and relay information out to players and coaches in our remote centres that are unable to travel vast distances to access the delivery of this information. Coaching and development of all players and all coaches is a major priority as set out in our Strategic Plan for 2010, and to be able to have the resources to achieve this is appreciated and welcomed by Football South West Queensland. To be able to set up a communication system with video conferencing will be of great benefit to all our council members who are all volunteers with full time jobs. Many sometimes find it hard to travel to attend meetings and to be able to communicate one on one with all members including members in remote areas. This will be extremely beneficial to all and will allow for more communication on a personal basis which is sometimes lacking with email and very costly with phone calls. We thank you for your assistance in helping us achieve our goals to help all our members, players and coaches throughout our Zone, which is a vast area to communicate effectively and efficiently to on a constant basis.  |
