I think my business needs some software. Can you help me?
Sure. You have made the first step towards getting your new software. We can work with you to develop something that is just right for what you need. We can work at a pace that ensures you are comfortable and understand exactly where we are going every step of the way.

Have a look here, and get some idea of how we can help you.

I'm not sure what I need?
This is not uncommon. Software is sometimes a difficult field to understand. Rather than just sell you something "off the shelf" or a modified version of another program, let's talk through why you feel you may need some new software. We can establish where you are at and what sort of application you are thinking about. You may have seen another program somewhere, or you may have some ideas of your own. The important thing with software is - the sky is the limit. Write a list of everything you want, everything. Remember, you want software that suits you and your business.

Do I have to change the way my business runs to suit your software?
Database software can be built to match your current recording systems so you don't need to change. We also understand that your business is very different to others and very often has quite unique ways of operating.

So why change something that works?

Transferring your current workflow / paper trail / procedures to a your new software not only increases employee acceptance and usability by mirroring what they already do, it very often highlights areas where the same data is copied multiple times throughout your organisation. These areas are identified during development and you can decide who enters this data. Having this data entered only once not only increases your productivity, it then allows that data to be used instantly across the entire software system - not just on individual employee's PC's.

Some companies that purchase specialised software don't get what they are " sold ". Why should you be different.
As discussed above, rather than doing the hard sell on a standard package that has been modified to suit, we develop for you what you need. We can develop software to mirror as close as possible your existing workflow within your business. The people you talk to are the same people that actually build your software for you. In other words, you plan your software with a developer - not a salesman!

Our software isn't " sold " to you.

We can make suggestions and provide advice where appropriate. We work hand-in-hand with you to develop the appropriate software for your business until you are happy. Any less is not an option.

What does " future proof " mean? I hear it a lot these days.
Microsoft® technologies have the best track record in the industry in terms of compatability. So today, clients can have 10 year old versions of applications running on a brand new PC. In fact, you can go all the way back and run the original version of Visi-Calc ( the first spreadsheet for the PC ) from 1981 right there on your desktop. So, as a policy and strategy, Microsoft® bends over backwards  to keep your software environment running. So, while other desktop vendors have had a policy of forcing you to
throw out your old software or pay for massive upgrades, much of Microsoft's strategy has been to preserve, and allow your old software to run.

We use Microsoft® technologies to protect your software investment, and that is why your new Windows® XP  still supports 20 year old software.

Do you offer support?
Of course. While all of the applications we develop are extremely intuitive with simple UI's ( user interfaces ), a lot of our clients do have support contracts for peace of mind. They vary from monthly, quarterly to annually. We can discuss this further during development of your applications.

How much does it cost?
Cost varies widely depending on the requirements of the project. As a guide, a simple workshop maintenance solution starts at a few thousand dollars, rather than a few hundred. To determine whether this represents value for you, weigh up the time and effort you currently spend in managing your maintenance administration and industry accreditation compliance documentation and future needs of duty of care obligations etc.

How does your software rate?

".. ...Karl's software applications are well designed and consistently and meaningfully presented....."
